With a long, beautiful beach, a mild climate and several pedestrianized areas with Portuguese sidewalks, Monte Gordo is one of the Algarve’s main tourist destinations.
The fact that it is located in a bay means that the sea is relatively calm and it is one of the safest beaches for children in the Algarve.

Monte Gordo Sand Race the motorsport festival on the sandy shores of Monte Gordo Bay: an international motorcycle and quad race on the sand.
Two races a day, several categories of participants and lots of fun!

Frequently Asked Questions

The event will take place between November 22 and 24, 2024, on the sandy Monte Gordo beach, in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António.

Admission to the Monte Gordo Sand Experience is free, both for the show area and for the exhibition and FunZone.

You can park all over the town, but the nearest parking lots are: Parque dos Pinheiros and the park to the east of the Casino
