The Monte Gordo Sand Race is one of the events included in the final of the FIM Sand Races World Cup, an exciting competition organized by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), in collaboration with the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, and under the auspices of the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation (FMP ) .

The Monte Gordo Sand Race is an exciting motorsport event that will take place on the sandy shores of Monte Gordo Bay.
This international event will feature motorcycle and quad races on the sandIt will provide a unique experience for participants and spectators alike.
On November 22nd to 24thseveral riders, including the best riders in the world, will compete in various categories of motorcycles and quads.

The starts will take place on Monte Gordo beach at low tide and the 6km circuit will run on the sand.
The race will be run over two laps, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
The final classification will result from the sum of the times of the two laps, with any penalties applied.
For Motorcycles, categories M, MD and MJ2, the race will last 1.5 hours on the 23rd and 1 hour on the 24th.
For the MJ1, V1 and V2 categories, the races will last 45 minutes on the 23rd and 30 minutes on the 24th.
Two drivers per vehicle are allowed to take part, and substitution is authorized at a defined location on the circuit.
Refueling will take place in the Assistance Zone (ZA).
For Quad, all categories, Q, QD, QJ and QV, will last 1 hour on the 23rd and 45 minutes on the 24th.
The Quad classes allow 2 drivers per vehicle, with substitution allowed at a defined location on the circuit.
Refueling will take place in the Assistance Zone (ZA).
The ACP and the Vila Real de Santo António City Council will deploy a series of rescue resources to ensure rapid intervention in the event of any incident.
